Red Yeast Rice(Monascus purpureus) is a unique, botanical ingredient traditionally used in the Chinese diet for centuries. The first recorded use of red yeast rice appears during the Tang Dynasty. It is produced by fermenting red yeast with white rice. Since this is a botanical ingredient, produced in nature, some color variation is normal from batch to batch. This color change is not indicative of the potency or quality of the product. Each serving of Weider Red Yeast Rice Plus supplies 1200mg of red yeast rice for a daily intake of 2400mg.-
Phytosterols (also referred to as plant sterol and stanol esters) are a group of naturally occurring compounds found in cell membranes. Because phytosterols are structurally similar to the body’s cholesterol, when they are consumed they compete with cholesterol for absorption in your digestive system. In this way phytosterols can help to reduce the amount of cholesterol that is absorbed.
Food or dietary supplements containing at least 400 mg per serving of Phytosterols taken twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 800 mg, as a part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. Red Coating– Our red coating is intended to help make the pills easier to swallow. There are no FD&C synthetic dyes used.
Directions: Adults, take two (2) tablets twice daily with a meal. Do Not exceed four (4) tablets in a 24-hour period.
