Vitamin B-12 is most known for maintaining nervous system health.† Vitamin B-12 works with enzymes involved in the breakdown of nutrients to support energy metabolism and helps support circulation which in turn promotes heart health.†
Vitamin B-12 supports circulation by helping maintain homocysteine levels already within a normal range.† Homocysteine is an amino acid found in blood. High levels of homocysteine is considered to affect the function of our cardiovascular system. Vitamin B-12 also aids in the normal formation of red blood cells.†
How Much Should I Take?
6 mcg is the Daily Value (DV) of Vitamin B-12, however, higher intakes from Vitamin B-12 may provide additional support. Pregnant and lactating women need a higher intake of Vitamin B-12 than the daily recommended intake of the general population.Water-soluble
Vitamin B-12 is a water-soluble vitamin. Water-soluble vitamins are not stored by the body so it is important to consume an adequate amount each day. Although Vitamin B-12 is found in foods, supplementation can assist in maintaining healthy levels in the body.†-
Dietary Sources
Vitamin B-12 can be obtained from animal sources but is not found in vegetables in any significant amount. Enriched food products like breakfast cereals provide Vitamin B-12. Chicken and salmon are also dietary sources. -
DIRECTIONS: For adults, take one (1) quick dissolve tablet daily. Place quick dissolve tablet under tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing.
